This is not entirely my own original work. I am translating some information from NGA forum (which I don’t expect you guys to know). If you know Chinese (I don’t suppose so), here’s the link NGA hunter pet info .
There are guides to spirit beasts on Wowhead with 3D models. But there is no coordination and refresh time(cd). Wowhead spirit beasts

I recommend taming these with 110 or you will die till your gears are red (seriously).

Spirit Beasts

Coordination:Northrend, Sholazar Basin, whole map (yes that’s right)(58, 22), (36, 30), (21, 70), (30, 66),(50, 82), (66, 77), (71, 71)

Classic and famous spirit beast. Damn cool. Damn hard to get.

Skoll (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 8 – 10 hours)

Coordination:

Northrend,  Storm Peaks, (45,62), (30, 64), (29, 50) (foot of the hill)

Who wouldn’t want a fiery lightning wolf! Probably won’t be as hard as the previous two. But he looks as awesome.

4. Ban’thalos (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 6 – 8 hours)

Coordination:

Kalimdor, Mount Hyjal, (27, 61) in the sky

The light effect is probably the best among all spirit beast. To catch it, stand on a tree, shoot the bird, glide to ground and tame.

5. Karoma (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 8 – 10 hours)

Coordination:

Eastern Kingdom, Twilight Highland, (60, 44), (65, 60), (59, 63), (54, 54), (54 76), (49, 76)

Looks kind of like the old Shaman model. Hmm..

6. Gumi (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only color, CD 15min (hurray!))

Coordination:

Pandaria, Kun-Lai Mountain, (55, 57)

One of the easiest spirit beast. Hit like a bomb if you are at same level. So wait till 100 or 110 to get it.

There are 2 other colors, red and green with same model and CD in fact. They are in Jade Forest and Karsarang. Check wowhead for position.

7. Ghostcrawler (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 8 – 10 hours)

Eastern Kingdom, Vashjir, Abyssal Depths, wandering around (21, 48), (12, 83), (33, 71)

My personal favorite though I don’t have it. Cute and deadly. I like that he has no eyes so no one realizes his dread part.

8. Ankha and Magria (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 6 – 8 hours)

Coordination:

Kalimdor, Mount Hyjal, wandering outside the Molten front

These two brothers share a same CD which means only one of them will appear at the same time. They refresh randomly. I would say it goes perfect with the mount spectral tiger. So if your super rich and you are a hunter, why not try these two?

9. Gondria (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 8 – 10 hours)

Coordination:

Northrend, Zul’drak, (61,62), (67,77), (77,67), (63, 42), (69,48), (75,37)

Pretty similar to the previous two but more plague like (maybe?). More badass for sure.

10. Lost Spectral Gryphon (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 10 – 14 hours)

Coordination:

Eastern Kingdom, Stormwind, next to the flight master

Well it is definitely easy to wait. Newly added in Legion. Click on the spirit feather to summon it. The interesting thing is horde can also tame this since it is neutral. I think I know why Stormwind is being attacked hmm.

11. Gon (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 6 – 12 hours)

Coordination:

Kalimdor, Orgrimar, next to the priest trainer

I know I can kiss goodbye to this one since I’m never playing a horde and I don’t like raptors. But for raptor lovers, it is definitely a must. And if you are alliance, why not go kick some horde ass?

12. Lightning Paw (Spirit beast, neutral, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 6 – 12 hours)

Coordination:

Eastern Kingdom, Duskwood, in bushes with an eye mark

This one constantly maintain invisible and can’t be tracked by macro. So turn up your voice and listen to the sound. It looks kind of creepy to me which suits Duskwood. This place gives me nightmare for a whole week after clearing the quest line.

13. Myonix (Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, rare color, CD 1 min)

Coordination: Broken Isle, Suramar, (43, 43)

Most people probably remember her. God her cub and herself is so cute. If you don’t want to kill her, take her with you! Easiest spirit beast probably.

14. Bulvinkel(Spirit beast, beast-mastery only, only-color, CD 8 – 10 hours)

Coordination:

Broken Isle, Stormheim, (74, 84)
